Recipe for Muesli Mix
We recommend to eat Muesli. Why? Well, first of all, it tastes good!
Secondly, muesli typically has less sugar and calories than most breakfast cereals on supermarket shelves. It's high in fiber and whole grains, which regulate the digestive system, are filling and can aid in weight control. The addition of nuts provides a great source of protein and omega-3 fatty acids (especially walnuts).
There are a lot of choices in the supermarket. But we think it's better to make your own! Herewith a simple recipe for Muesli Mix even we can make ourselves!
4 Cups Old-fashioned Oats
1 ½ Cups slivered almonds
1 ½ Cups Coconut shards, unsweetened
¾ teaspoon salt
¾ teaspoon cinnamon
Mix all ingredients.
Roast in oven for 15 minutes on 160’C.
Serve with low-fat milk, unsweetened almond milk or low-fat plain yoghurt.
Add bananas or berries for sweetness.
Yield: 7 Cups
